Will you live longer if you take vitamins? Good question. Nothing in life is certain, but vitamins can help maintain your health and supplement what you might be missing in your diet. Of course, if you’re a two-pack-a-day smoker, six-pack-a-day boozer, and a stressed-out air-traffic controller to boot all the vitamins in the world won’t help you. A healthy lifestyle can cure many things.

Vitamin 101

Generally speaking, daily vitamins for men should include a variety of B-complex vitamins, especially vitamins B6 and B12. They should also include vitamin H, which is known to help reduce hair loss, and folic acid to help regenerate new cells throughout the body. They should also contain beta-carotene, vitamins C and E, and lycopene, which helps maintain prostate health.

Daily vitamins for men are essential for all ages, because at every stage of life, a man’s health differs. For optimum health, the right balance of vitamins and minerals is a necessity. It is difficult to eat between 5 and 9 servings of fruit and vegetables every day, which is what a man needs for best health. But by supplementing your diet with daily vitamins, you’re putting your best foot forward to maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

This is an article about natural fat burner foods from fatfreekitchen.com.

Fat burning foods are foods that burn more calories than the calorie content of the food itself, thereby fighting stored fat. The secret to losing weight is to eat and drink the right kinds of foods until you are full and satisfied. If you skip meals and food, it will slow your metabolism and your health will deteriorate. There are certain foods which actually burn more fat than the calorie content of the food itself. These fat burning foods are natural plant foods. If you eat these fat burning foods and do some exercise, it will boost your metabolism and burn more calories (fat) at a faster rate for several hours even after exercise. Full list of the fat burning foods is available.

List of Foods that burn fat: Fat Fighers

*Fruits rich in vitamin C like limes, lemons, oranges, guava, grapefruit and tangerines have fat burning properties so they may be called as FAT BURNING FOODS or FAT BURNERS or FIGHTERS. Vitamin C dilutes the fat and makes it less effective and helps in releasing the fat from the body.

*Apples: Pectin in apple restricts the cells to absorb the fat; and also encourages water absorption from the food which helps in releasing the fat deposits from the body. The antioxidants in apples may help prevent metabolic syndrome, a condition marked by excess belly fat or an apple body shape.

*Calcium Rich Dairy Products
A recent research reports that calcium in dairy products like milk, cheese, and yogurt act as fat burner that can boost weight loss by increasing fat breakdown in fat cells. Michael Zemel, Professor of Nutrition and Medicine at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville reports (Obesity Research, April 2004; vol 12; pp 582-590.),
“If you compare a dairy-rich versus a dairy-poor diet you can nearly double the rate of weight and fat loss with the same level of calorie restriction.” Dairy products may therefore be termed as fat burning foods. His research has shown that eating 3-4 servings of dairy products a day is more effective at enhancing weight loss efforts than calcium supplementation alone. So eat dairy products that act as fat burners.

The University of Tennessee researchers found:
Overweight people who consumed 3 servings a day of calcium-rich dairy lost more belly fat than those who followed a similar diet minus two or more of the dairy servings. The calcium supplements didn’t work as well as milk.

*Nuts help feel full while also increasing the body’s ability to burn fat, says author Jordi Salas-Salvado of the University of Rovira i Virgili in Reus, Spain.

*Chilies: Foods containing chillies or cayanne pepper are considered to be as foods that burn fat. Chillies contain capsaicin that helps in increasing the metabolism. Capsaicin is a thermogenic food, so it causes the body to burn extra calories for 20 minutes after you eat the chilies.

*Proteins: Protein rich foods and high fiber foods are the best as foods burning belly fat. Protein needs more energy to digest than fat as so eat low calorie dairy products, beans, whole grains, oatmeal, eggs, etc. as much as possible.

Lentils are high in protein and soluble fiber, two nutrients that stabilize blood sugar levels, therefore lentils are a great tummy flattener,” according to Tanya Zuckerbrot, R.D., author of The F-Factor Diet.
Some of the other foods that may be included in the list of fat burning foods are asparagus, beet root, broccoli, cabbage, carrot, chillies, beans, soybeans, sweet potatoes, blueberries and watermelon.

Note that in order to lose weight you have to burn more calories than you consume. This can be done by eating fat fighting foods and doing some physical activity. This will help your body burning up the excessive stored fat.

This is some important info that you need to know about adipex. I found this in drugs.com.

What is the most important information I should know about Adipex?

Taking Adipex together with other diet medications such as fenfluramine (Phen-Fen) or dexfenfluramine (Redux) can cause a rare fatal lung disorder called pulmonary hypertension. Do not take Adipex with any other diet medications without your doctors advice.

Adipex can cause side effects that may impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be awake and alert. Avoid drinking alcohol. It can increase some of the side effects of Adipex. Adipex may be habit-forming and should be used only by the person it was prescribed for. Keep track of how many pills have been used from each new bottle of this medicine. Adipex is a drug of abuse and you should be aware if any person in the household is using this medicine improperly or without a prescription.

You may have withdrawal symptoms, such as depression and extreme tiredness, when you stop using Adipex after using it over a long period of time. Do not stop using Adipex suddenly without first talking to your doctor. You may need to use less and less before you stop the medication completely.

What is Adipex?

Adipex is a stimulant that is similar to an amphetamine. Adipex is an appetite suppressant that affects the central nervous system.

Adipex is used togther with diet and exercise to treat obesity (overweight) in people with risk factors such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or diabetes.

Adipex may also be used for purposes other than those listed in this medication guide.

What should I discuss with my healthcare provider before taking Adipex?

Do not take Adipex if you have used an MAO inhibitor such as isocarboxazid (Marplan), phenelzine (Nardil), rasagiline (Azilect), selegiline (Eldepryl, Emsam), or tranylcypromine (Parnate) within the past 14 days. Serious, life-threatening side effects can occur if you take Adipex before the MAO inhibitor has cleared from your body.

Taking Adipex together with other diet medications such as fenfluramine (Phen-Fen) or dexfenfluramine (Redux) can cause a rare fatal lung disorder called pulmonary hypertension. Do not take Adipex with any other diet medications without your doctors advice.

Do not take this medication if you are allergic to Adipex or other stimulants, or if you have:

*      heart disease or high blood pressure;
*      arteriosclerosis (hardening of the arteries);
*      an overactive thyroid;
*      glaucoma;
* if you are in an agitated state; or
* if you have a history of drug or alcohol abuse.

Before taking Adipex, tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs, or if you have:

*      problems with your thyroid,
*      an anxiety disorder,
* epilepsy or another seizure disorder, or
*      diabetes.

If you have any of these conditions, you may not be able to use Adipex, or you may need a dosage adjustment or special tests during treatment.
It is not known whether Adipex will harm an unborn baby. Do not take Adipex without first talking to your doctor if you are pregnant. It is also not known whether Adipex passes into breast milk or if it could harm a nursing baby. Do not take Adipex without first talking to your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby. Do not give this medication to anyone younger than 16 years old without the advice of a doctor.

North Carolina Health Choice (NCHC) for Children is a free or reduced price comprehensive health care program for children. If your family makes too much money to qualify for Medicaid but too little to afford rising health insurance premiums, your child(ren) may qualify for NCHC.
NCHC covers hospitalization and outpatient care including the following:
*Physician and clinic services
*Laboratory and radiology services
*Surgical services
*Prescription drugs
*Dental services
*Vision
*Hearing
*Durable medical equipment and supplies such as wheelchairs
*Physical therapy, occupational therapy and therapy for individuals with speech, hearing and language disorders
*Hospice care
*Home health care (limited)
*Inpatient mental health services (requires precertification)
*Outpatient mental health services (requires precertification after 26 outpatient visits per year)
*Inpatient substance abuse treatment and outpatient substance abuse treatment (requires precertification)

Its pretty good. I didn’t know North Carolina health insurance was this good. When will things like this happen to poor kids in India?

This is from awdiamonds.com. I liked this faq because of it simplicity and usefulness.

What is loose diamond certification?

A diamond certificate usually accompanies a genuine diamond that you buy. It is also referred to as a diamond grading report or diamond quality document. The certificate is a printed report that states the features and value of a diamond. It includes details as the stone’s color, carat, clarity, cut, measurements, polish and symmetry as well as other characteristics such as graining, fluorescence and imperfections.

Who issues these loose diamond certificates?

There are five major credible organizations that certify a loose diamonds quality and market value. These are the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), the International Gemological Institute (IGI), European Gemological Laboratory (EGL), American Gemological Society (AGS) and the Diamond High Council of Hoge Raad Voor Diamant (HRD). Their diamond certificates are recognized internationally hence, you can be sure that the diamond you purchase is the real one.

What does a certified loose diamond mean?

A diamond that comes with a certificate guarantees the buyer of the stone’s quality and genuineness. The certificate is also an important requirement if the buyer wishes to have the diamond insured. And should the owner later decide to sell the diamond, the certificate will confirm the stone’s authenticity to be able to get a fair price.

Is buying a loose diamond over the Internet safe?

It is definitely safe to buy a diamond online. In fact, diamonds have been sold publicly online since 1995. Diamond stores on the Internet usually list the GIA grading report so you can be sure what you are getting. You can also check first the credentials of suppliers before making the purchase. In paying for the product, the safest way is to always use your credit card. Prices of online diamond rings, for instance, are the same as that of wholesale diamonds. Most online stores ship diamonds overnight and have a money back guarantee good for 30 days.

What is the Tolkowsky ideal cut loose diamond?

The man who discovered the perfect way to cut a diamond in the 1920’s is Marcel Tolkowsky of Russia. A mathematician by profession, he formulated a scientific basis in cutting a diamond based on the stone’s ability to refract light. In establishing the perfect cut, certain parameters must be followed – table diameter of 53 to 66%, crown height of 11 to 16% and Pavilion depth of 42 to 45%.

How do you pick a good loose diamond?

Before buying your loose diamond, be sure to set a budget because this stone is an expensive one. Learn first the 4Cs – carat, color, clarity and cut which are important qualities that determine a diamond’s appearance and value. Choose the qualities that you would like to have for your stone – the shape (round is the most popular but there are other attractive shapes as well), color, clarity (absence of blemishes) or carat weight. Be conscious about a diamond’s cut. Remember that a good cut should reveal brilliance otherwise it might just look like ordinary glass. By all means, search the Internet for the various online diamond stores and check the products they offer. Doing so will give you a chance to compare prices and designs.

Where do these diamonds originate?

Around 2.5 billion years ago, loose diamonds were just coals (pure carbon) heated and compressed into carbon crystals. They were formed very deep beneath the earth’s surface and the first known diamonds were spewed by volcanic eruptions. This hardest known mineral on earth mostly comes from South Africa, Russia and Australia.

What is the Rapport diamond report?

The Rapport report provides a list of wholesale loose diamonds prices worldwide as well as news, business issues and fashion trends of diamond wedding rings. The diamond and jewelry industry subscribes to this weekly report which is made as the basis for diamond prices. The prices are listed on tables by color and clarity corresponding to the carat weight. Most jewelers usually get a 10 to 20 percent discount in buying diamonds from the so-called Rap sheet.

What’s the right way to clean loose diamonds?

Diamonds may be the hardest mineral on earth but they can still be damaged. Keep in mind that only a diamond can scratch another diamond hence, if you own a set of diamond jewelry such as a necklace, ring and earrings, it is best that you store them separately. Also, take off your diamonds while doing rough work because a hard blow can chip the stone. If you observe a loose stone setting, bring your jewelry right away to your jeweler and have it fixed. Make sure to clean your diamonds as often as you can especially if you wear them every day and expose them to dust and pollution. You can clean it yourself by using a mild liquid soap and a toothbrush. Of course, just use gentle strokes. Use a small container where you can place the diamonds while cleaning. Rinse them with warm water and pat dry with a soft cloth. But if you’re not satisfied with your own work, then bring your diamonds to your jeweler for professional cleaning.

Its all about my video card. Its a great one, but needs additional +12V – actually it requires two molex connectors and the SMPS should be able to provide 12V with 28A. That’s a big one because I would a hell of a big PSU for this one.

If you want insurance only go get it. I would suggest that you don’t try to invest in unit linked plans. They will say that you will make a truck load of money, but you may not. There are a lot of things that they won’t tell about life insurance rate. If you want health insurance or other insurance, go for them. But if you want to make money or save on taxes, go for mutual funds or systematic investment plans (SIP).
