Mesothelioma
Mesothelioma is a form of cancer that is almost always caused by previous exposure to asbestos. In this disease, malignant cells develop in the mesothelium, a protective lining that covers most of the body’s internal organs. Its most common site is the pleura (outer lining of the lungs and chest cavity), but it may also occur in the peritoneum (the lining of the abdominal cavity) or the pericardium (a sac that surrounds the heart).
Most people who develop mesothelioma have worked on jobs where they inhaled asbestos particles, or have been exposed to asbestos dust and fibre in other ways, such as by washing the clothes of a family member who worked with asbestos, or by home renovation using asbestos cement products. Unlike lung cancer, there is no association between mesothelioma and smoking.
Symptoms of mesothelioma may not appear until 20 to 50 years after exposure to asbestos. Shortness of breath, cough, and pain in the chest due to an accumulation of fluid in the pleural space are often symptoms of pleural mesothelioma.
Symptoms of peritoneal mesothelioma include weight loss and cachexia, abdominal swelling and pain due to ascites (a buildup of fluid in the abdominal cavity). Other symptoms of peritoneal mesothelioma may include bowel obstruction, blood clotting abnormalities, anemia, and fever. If the cancer has spread beyond the mesothelium to other parts of the body, symptoms may include pain, trouble swallowing, or swelling of the neck or face.
Treatment of malignant mesothelioma using conventional therapies has not proved successful and patients have a median survival time of 6 - 12 months after presentation. The clinical behaviour of the malignancy is affected by several factors including the continuous mesothelial surface of the pleural cavity which favours local metastasis via exfoliated cells, invasion to underlying tissue and other organs within the pleural cavity, and the extremely long latency period between asbestos exposure and development of the disease.

Death and Dying
I was really intrigued by a post I found - death and dying. I have lost some of my loved ones - especially I miss my grandma - I couldn’t stand with her during her last moments - I remember running away - I was terrified and sad..
I don’t want to die - by the time my moment comes - I hope they can come up with something like virtual reality where my brain can be placed - lol…
Now I am indeed in a state of misery - my mom is getting old - I simply can’t stand the fact she might be gone from this world in future..
I know this is the way of nature - but is it possible that science can do something about this. I hope there will be advancements in cryonics.. now if a human is frozen, he/she is as good as dead.. lol.. I hope that scientists can break this soon..

Acne Treatment
There is a wide variety of acne treatments now available. You can find everything from prescription mediation to face washes. The market provides a solution for every individual. There is no reason why anyone has to go through life with blemishes, scars or low self-esteem due to acne. Treatment can be undertaken by the individual or in conjunction with a dermatologist. Your individual program depends on the severity and response to your personal acne treatments.
There is an assortment of over the counter products designed to clear up your face, including bar soap and special face washes. Finding the product that works best for your skin and lifestyle is the key to treating acne. There is not a single product that will work for everyone. Your search may involve trial and error, but it is important that you give the products enough time to work. Whether you use over-the-counter or prescription treatments, you should allow a minimum of a few weeks to evaluate the product. Excessive use of any acne product can cause redness, dryness of the face and can actually lead to more acne. Therefore, it is imperative you follow the directions precisely to avoid harmful side effects and to receive the full benefits of the products.
Washing your face a few times a day with a mild soap can usually clear up a lot of acne by ridding the face of excess oils. However, over washing your face could lead to excess drying and the production of more pore-clogging oil, which in turn could cause more acne. If you have a case of acne that requires more treatment than face washing alone, there are many prescription medications and topical creams that can clear up mild to very severe acne.
Whatever you choose as your acne treatment, keep in mind that it takes time for results. Overusing a product will typically aggravate your acne. Frequently switching acne products will irritate the skin, so it is best to stick with one, as long as it effective. If the acne persists and does not improve after trying scrubs and face washes, consult a dermatologist for more aggressive treatment.

Whole Life Insurance
Whole Life Insurance, or Whole of Life Assurance (in the Commonwealth), is a life insurance policy that remains in force for the insured’s whole life and requires (in most cases) premiums to be paid every year into the policy.
There are several types of whole life insurance policies. New York State defines six traditional forms: non-participating (aka “non par”), participating, indeterminate premium, economic, limited pay, and single premium. A newer type is known generally as interest sensitive whole life. Other jurisdictions may classify them differently, and not all companies offer all types. It should be noted that there are as many types of insurance policies as can be written in their contracts while staying within the law’s guidelines.
Whole life insurance typically requires that the owner pay premiums for the life of the policy. There are some arrangements that let the policy be “paid up”, which means that no further payments are ever required, in as few as 5 years, or with even a single large premium. Typically if the payor doesn’t make a large premium payment at the outset of the life insurance contract, then he is not allowed to begin making them later in the contract life. In contrast, Universal life insurance generally allows more flexibility in premium payment. Check out life insurance rates.
