Is Rogue One, the best star wars movie?
I am a big star wars fan. Loved the original trilogy – Episode IV: A New Hope, Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. They were certainly ahead of their time.
Then came the Prequel trilogy – Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Episode II: Attack of the Clones, Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. I absolutely hated these..
Then came the Sequel trilogy – Episode VII: The Force Awakens, Episode VIII: The Last Jedi, Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker. These were much better, I loved The Force Awakens, the other two are okish.
Then there is the Anthology films in between – Rogue One, Solo – and more to be released later. Didn’t like Solo that much.
Why I love Rogue One
Of all these movies, I would chose Star Wars – Rogue One as the best in the recent movies. The story happens place before “A New Hope”. The story is about a group of rebels on a mission to steal the plans for the Death Star, the Galactic Empire’s super weapon. There are many who criticized using cgi to recreate some of the characters. But for me it was ok.
This movie is completely different from all the Star Wars movies released so far. Its story is perhaps one of the saddest, darkest in the series. But its gripping, action packed and realistic. In real life people dies. Well this is the story of the rebels who dies for the cause. The final battle scene is one of the best in all star wars.
If you haven’t seen Rogue One, then take time to see this one. You will love it.
