Thirumoorthy is the place to be when you need to see just about everything – a cute dam, an ancient temple and a small waterfall.
On the way, we will come across the dam. Then afterwards the Sri Amanalingeswarar temple. You have to walk to the Panjalinga falls.
I was travelling from Palani on the way back to my home town when I visited this scenic place. Unfortunately I was a bit late to reach here. So I was not able to visit the waterfalls.
There are no 5 star facilities but we do get the basics like street food, tea etc.
But I did enjoyed the place. We had tea and snacks here. The kids enjoyed it.
There are lots of monkeys here, they will pose for you..
I don’t think that people from Kerala have visited this place much. If you are going to Palani or nearby places, do include this place.
It’s great if you can put a day aside to visit Amaravathi dam and Thirumoorthy
