Ananganmala Eco Tourism – a Little-known Spot

82 / 100

Ananganmala Eco Tourism is located 10 Kms away from Ottapalam town, in Palakkad district of Kerala State.

It is a lesser-known but beautiful eco-tourism destination that offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, adventure, and cultural heritage.

There are lots of hills over here and they are very rich in bio diversity.

Ananganmala or Anangan Mala in malayalam means the hill or mountain which cannot be moved.

Folklore says that a piece of the mountain Lord Hanuman carried from the Himalayas to Sri Lanka fell, as he flew over Ottapalam, and this is that hill.

The Eco tourism spot is open from Tuesday to Sunday – from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm. Monday is holiday and its closed.

There are parking fees and parking space is very less.

There are also entry fees for adults and kids. And additional fess for cameras.

Trekking is available at this location.

My personal opinion – if you are coming with your family, the best time to visit here in the evening when sun’s intensity is less.

This place is good to spend a peaceful and relaxing evening with the family when the kids can play around and you can enjoy the scenic views and beautiful sunset.
