MSM cream is believed to be effective treatment for pain caused by arthritis, and when MSM is mixed with eucalyptus and camphor, it can be especially effective as a topical cream to ease aching joints and muscles. As an added benefit, msm cream will also moisturize and soothe dry and cracked skin.

Things You’ll Need:
4 oz. emu oil
1.5 oz. avocado oil
3 oz. beeswax
1 oz. stearic acid
½ oz. menthol crystals
2 cups water
¼ oz. citric acid
1 oz. eucalyptus essential oil
½ oz. lavender essential oil
1 oz. camphor essential oil
½ oz. capsicum powder
3 oz. MSM powder
Sterile container

Instructions

Step 1

Put the emu oil, avocado oil, beeswax and stearic acid in a saucepan over medium heat.

Step 2

Remove the saucepan from the heat, stir in the menthol crystals and stir until the crystals are dissolved.

Step 3

Place the water in a glass bowl and stir in the citric acid. Stir in the menthol crystal mixture and blend it completely with a hand mixer or blender. Add the essential oils and continue to mix until they are blended.

Step 4

Blend in the capsicum powder and then mix in the MSM powder. Allow it to cool and thicken. If it isn’t thick enough, add a little more melted beeswax.

Step 5

Pour the cooled MSM cream into a sterile container.
