Hublot Big Bang Black Magic

Since it first burst onto the scene in Spring 2005, the Hublot Big Bang chronograph has gradually shattered the sometimes discreet aesthetics of the chronograph universe by imposing a futuristic vision of the timepiece. Unanimously acclaimed for its technical and design qualities, the Hublot Big Bang chronograph won ‘Best Design 2005’ at the Grand Prix of Geneva in November, ‘Best Oversize Watch’ in the Middle East at the Watch of the Year Award, and ‘Best Professional Sports Watch’ at the Watch of the Year Award 2005 in Japan. Such instant international recognition is proof of the spot-on futuristic vision of the brand, whose renaissance is symbolised by the Big Bang chronograph.

The new Hublot Big Bang ‘Black Magic’ is in keeping with the same visionary spirit, reaching even further beyond the use of new materials with a new extreme design. With its assertive character and its powerful aesthetics, the new Hublot Big Bang ‘Black Magic’ is bound to inflame passions.

The Hublot Big Bang ‘Black Magic’ makes a bold statement with its 44.5 mm diameter black ceramic case, alternating between polished and brushed finishes. The extra-large bezel, also in black ceramic, carries 6 ‘H’-shaped screws, sunken, polished and blocked. Beneath the anti-reflection, double-faced sapphire crystal, the sunray black dial accentuates the dynamic nature of the timepiece. An interesting side profile is provided by a Kevlar insert, which makes it look as if the Hublot black natural rubber bracelet passes directly through the body of the chronograph, and by the multi-layered construction of its case, which creates an intricate interplay of materials. In the same vein, the back of the watch case is blanked from titanium. The new fully adjustable rubber strap sports the new Hublot deployant clasp to make it instantly adaptable to different wrist sizes, with no loss of ultra-comfort.

On a technical note, the Big Bang ‘Black Magic’ houses the new HUB44 mechanical chronograph movement with automatic winding mechanism, an exclusive Hublot movement developed in collaboration with the La Joux-Perret workshop.

A high-tech, elegant and contemporary timepiece, the Hublot Big Bang ‘Black Magic’ chronograph rests on the brand’s four mainstays: namely Swiss tradition, the visionary art of watchmaking, the fusion of materials with state-of-the-art technology, and aesthetic innovation.
