Kechery is a small town in Thrissur district, Kerala, India. Its around 15 kms from Thrissur town, 8 kms from Kunnamkulam, 12 kms from Guruvayur. Sree Parappukkavu Bhagavathi Temple is located a few hundred meters away from the main road connecting Thrissur and Kunnamkulam. The Pooram here is very famous for the huge of number of elephants (around 40 elephants from 18 desams).
