St Alphonsa Church Vallakkunnu – the very first church dedicated to the saint

St Alphonsa Church Vallakkunnu is located near the Irinjalakuda – Chalakudy State Highway.

This is the first church in the world to be named after the revered saint Alphonsa, who was an Indian religious sister and educator.

The church was established in 2008, cnsecrated at the very time of Announcing the news about Saint Alphonsa at Vatican.

It comes under the Irinjalakude Forane.

The feast day of the is 28th July every year.
