Cheppara is a calm and quiet place tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Thrissur town.
Its just 45 minutes drive from Thrissur town.
Its situated in Thekkumkara panchayat near Wadakkanchery.
If you are a nature lover, this is a must visit place – there are various birds in the nearby trees.
The place is free to visit. There are no entry fees as of now.
We have to be able to climb the hill with support from a barrier. Climbing up is a tough task.
The place is a bit difficult for children or elderly people, especially during the monsoon season when it might be slippery.
In order to see the muniyara (ancient-era dolmens or small caverns where sages used to meditate) and a natural pond, we have to walk on the hill.
But if you can make it to the top then you are in for an amazing views all around.
Early morning and evening will be the right time to visit as its pretty sunny in the top.
Stunning sunrises or sunsets & tranquility make Cheppara great for family outing.
Also take water with you in hand, there isn’t any drinkable water on top of the hill.
