Meenkulathi Temple – the unique godess of marine life

Meenkulathi Temple is located in Pallasena, a village in Palakkad district, Kerala State, India.

Meen kolathi means “She who has a tank or pond of fish”.

The goddess is often connected with marine life.

Its one of the oldest temples in Kerala.

Its structure is a Tamil Nadu style as its built by a family (Mannadiars) who came from Tamil Nadu for business and settled over here.

The temple timings are
Sunday, Tuesday, Friday
5:00AM to 12PM
5:30PM to 7:30PM

On other days:
5:30AM to 11:00AM
5:30PM to 7:30pm

Please note that the dress code is very strict. You can’t enter the temple wearing Pants, Shirts, Lungies etc.
Don’t worry – there is a counter there from which you can lease mundu to wear.
