Earlier I have written that Sony w810i plays AAC – here. But I have found that it does not play HE-AAC v2 well (Note that HE stands for High Efficiency). It plays LC-AAC pretty well. (LC means Low Complexity). The phone only seems to play the underlying low complexity stream in the HE-AAC track, thus the music sounds rather rubbish and muffled.
