In our home, we still use a land line phone (that is a fixed wired one in case you mobile dummies don’t know about it.. lol.) – we still use it because its our first phone – the number has been with us for quite a long time (around 17 years). So its emotional not to loose it even though we can hardly hear through it because of all the background noise. We are keeping the phone on a fixed stand in the corner of a room. I am thinking of getting a roller stand so that it can be moved a little bit.
