Thirunavaya Navamukunda Temple is located in Malappuram district, Kerala State, South India on the banks of the Bharathapuzha (river).
The main diety here is Nava Mukunda (Lord Vishnu in the form of Navamukunda Perumal), Subdieties include Aadi Ganesha, Sree Mahalakshmi, Swami Ayyappan.
The temple, hundreds of years old is built in Kerala Architecture style. Its currently under the management of Malabar Devaswom Board.
This temple, along with Cherutirunavaya Brahma – Siva Temples across the river makes this Trimurti Sangamam, which is a rarity.
The river bank is considered holy for bali tarpana/ pitru tharpanam/sradha puja (ritual offering practices for forefathers).
The temple timings are 5am – 11:30am, 5pm – 7:30pm.
You can easily arrive here via bus from Kuttippuram. The nearest railway station is Kuttippuram.
