I went to Vadakkanchery Uthralikavu (Rudhira Mahakali Kavu) temple today to see the pooram and the day fireworks. (I had went to see the sample fireworks two days before and I was impressed). I felt the Pooram with Panchavadyam was OK, but I must say that the specialty here is the fireworks – its damn good.
I went with my friend and co worker – Devaraj from Accel at about 2:00 on my bike. Reaching Wadakkancherry, I met with two of my former students – Ageesh and Romi. Romi has a computer shop over there. I parked my bike at his shop and we walked to the temple. We saw the pooram for a while. Then we rested inside the temple until the fireworks started.
The best location to watch the fireworks is right in the center near the temple. If you felt scared, you could run to a safe distance..lol..
After the fireworks we walked back to Wadakkancherry. Devaraj took a bus to his house at Varavoor. On the way back I had Ageesh for company. I dropped Ageesh off at Kizhakkumpattukara.
