I still haven’t decided whether to go for a camera phone or a full blown camera. If I am going for a full blown camera, then I have looked into some options like FujiFilm’s S2950 or S3200, Canon PowerShot SX30 or SX230IS. The camera’s from FujiFilm offers good value but Canon offers the higher image quality.
Another thing that most people overlook is the battery that these cameras are using. S2950 and S3200 – both use AA batteries which are commonly available everywhere, but they make the cameras a little bulky. The canon camera batteries in SX30 are proprietary – this makes the camera less bulky than its predecessor SX20, but you might find it difficult to get a spare battery when your battery is down.
