St. Mary’s Church is located in Ponganamkad (or Ponganamkadu), Thrissur district, Kerala, South India. Its on the way from Villadam to Thanikudam.
This area was part of the Vijayapuram (Cheroor) parish. In 1961, the construction of the church in Ponganamkad was started and on September 9, 1962, the Parangadukadu parish in the name of the holy Goddess was blessed. Upto 1969, the fathers from the Vijapauram church led this parish. From 1969, a regular priest was appointed here. The church that we see today was rebuilt in 1995.
